Nov. 8, 2009

Well a lot has happened since I last updated my blog, which was only a couple of weeks ago. My daughter gave birth to a lovely little girl, Vivienne. She is such a doll baby. I am working on a digital design of her first day in the world and hope to have it done by next weekend. I was in Boston most of last week and I can't even believe how much it has changed. I stayed at a hotel on the waterfront. I thought getting around the city would have been really easy given that I went to school and worked in the city. Was I in for a surprise. I did get to eat one of my favorite restaurant's Pier 4 and was so excited when the waitress came to the table with a hot popover. It brought back the memories of going there as a child with my parents.
I have uploaded a digital scrapbook page that I did of Slater and Sophia, enjoy.

Family Recipes

Wow can't believe that Oct. is almost over and Halloween is just around the corner. I was hoping that I would have been able to meet my new grandchild this weekend but she just isn't ready to join us yet. I hope that everyone has a "Happy Halloween".

Halloween greetings

With Halloween just around the corner I have been diligently working on my greeting cards. I was hoping I would have been done this weekend, but that didn't happen. I must say though that I sure had fun working on them and going through all of the trinkets and ephemera that I have collect throughout the year. I also have been working on a Halloween themed altered book and as soon as it is done I will post some pictures of it. You would never know that I was never really into Halloween, but for the last couple of years I have really enjoyed working on Halloween related projects. I even decided to dedicate a page in my Italian alphabet journal to Halloween.

Can't believe it's October!

Can you believe that we are in October already......I really don't know where the summer went. Tomorrow I am taking a class instructed by the world renowned Laura McCabe. I'm really excited. I haven't seen Laura for over 2 years, you would never know that we live within 10 miles of each other. The time seems to just fly by. I just finished a sterling silver necklace which I will post to the web site later in the week. I started working on a Halloween altered book and can't wait to see what it is going to look like when it's done; I just hope it gets done this year. Well time to call it a day. I am posting a digital design of little Miss. Sophia in her witches costume from last Halloween.

My Special Spider man

Well another week has gone by and we are almost in Oct. can you believe it. I spent Friday night with Slater and Sophia, and we had a great time. We made pizza, and hung out. Today Paul and I spent the entire day looking for a shower curtain and some new bathroom rugs. I will be so glad when this bathroom remodeling is done. I don't think I can bare going into another hardware store!! When I got home I found this picture of Slater wearing his Halloween costume so I decided that I would see what I could do with it. Well it's time for me to go to bed. Goodnight.

More ATC's

Well I am loading a layout to illustrate another ATC that I did for this weeks trade. I really wish that I could spend some more time on this but between working all day in addition to being in the middle of having our bathroom completely remodeled it's been a little crazy around here. All of the walls have been knocked down and the only thing left standing is the tub and shower, which comes down tomorrow. I have been wanting to do this for such a long time and even though it is a mess I am really excited. The greatest part of the day was when I came home and Paul had a really nice surprise for me. He made me this wonderful steak dinner with potatoes, salad and fresh bread. What a treat!
